The story revolves around short-sighted six-year-old Cléo who loves Gloria to the moon and back, who’s been her nanny since her birth. When Gloria receives an urgent phone call and needs to return home to Cape Verde to looks after her own two children whom she hasn’t raised, Cléo makes her promise that they’ll see each other one last time. Gloria acquiesces and invites Cléo to spend the summer holidays on her island. It’s the last summer they’ll spend together, in the company of Gloria’s family, before they have to say goodbye....
